With all the "perfect body " image trends throughout the years; media has definitely etched a certain image of the "the perfect" body in women's and young girls' minds throughout the years. This has caused many females to be dissatisfied with their own bodies and lead them to go through many fad diets and pointless negative self thoughts. Fortunately, in the present, the media and society has been more accepting of the "plus size" which has lead to many fashion empires advertising for their plus size lines represented with new faces of plus size models. However, the media still continues to promote being thin, skinny and underweight by portraying beauty with underweight celebrities; this sets unrealistic goals for many woman worldwide.
What is important is that all women should embrace their beauty by being healthy and staying fit and not to be subjects of what media portrays as the "perfect body image". Look at yourself in the mirror and love yourself for who you are and how you look and set realistic and healthy goals for yourself if you decide to make a change in your look to the "better".
