We all love to be happy, look for things that make us happy, say we we want to be happy. Then what is happiness? Is it a feeling? Is it a thought? Is it a state of mind?
Happiness is subjective, it differs from one person to another. Happiness to you can be the smell of your morning coffee whereas for your sister; it can be that new pair of shoes that she has saved up for all last month. As long as it is something that sincerely puts a smile on your face then at that very moment you can consider yourself "happy". Happiness is a collective series of things that are in your life that make you feel good. These things may include a good husband, a beautiful home, a respectable job, a TV series that you love so much, good health, a talent and many many more blessings.
But the key and the most important foundation to happiness is the secret of looking forward to something. Its looking forward to seeing your good husband, looking forward to watching your favorite TV series, Looking forward to going to work,..etc. is what really makes you happy. If you don't look forward to tomorrow, how are you going to wake up in the morning? We all subconsciously are on a continuum of looking forward to things, things in our lives that make us happy....
So keep looking forward to waking up everyday, even if its for the hazelnut latte that you have every morning and find that feeling of tranquility and peace that lays at the very bottom of it, maybe at that very instant moment you will experience of what us people call "happiness".
