"Oh darn it! I have so many things to do! I just don't know how that happened? " Mandy thought. "How I am I going to make the deadline?!, I am totally getting fired!" Samantha panicked. " Oh I'll just do that tomorrow..." Linda told herself.
Yes Mandy, Samantha and Linda are all guilty of procrastinating. They had tasks that were meant to be done at a certain time but kept putting them off because they are simply too lazy to actually do them on the spot. Procrastinating is one of the very major things that can make us dread our work, day to day life and ourselves and that is because it leaves us with this lingering feeling of agitation and frustration. When you have a list of things to do that you keep putting off and you don't do them on the spot, you will have a sense of failure, a sense of anger and sense of self loathing; all these are negative feelings that you can simply get rid of by yourself. You and only you can spare yourself from this dilemma by organizing your time and by making sure that you meet those tasks as soon as they become presented to you. Whether these tasks revolve around your work, school, or house work; you should always make a schedule for yourself and put your own deadlines. This way you will feel successful, proud of yourself and relaxed. Meet those deadlines of yours and give yourself a treat after finishing each one, this way you will unconsciously give yourself this positive reinforcement that will keep encouraging you to continue this healthy path of self and time management. So stop procrastinating today and take out that pen and paper and start scribbling away your to do lists and time frames and you will certainly be happy with what you have to accomplish.
