Tick Tock : Make the most out of your day

After staring into space for a while, Lilly looks at the clock sitting on the wall above her dining table. She looks at it with absolute shock! It's 7:00 pm already in she hasn't done anything in her day! 

We can all relate to Lilly, I am pretty certain that all of us have experienced something similar to Lilly's situation in a way or another. It is certainly not the best feeling in the world! 

To avoid this kind of negative encounter and to make sure you make the most out of your day; read the following tips: 

1- Before going to bed, make a mental but preferably a written note of the things that you want to be done the next day.  

2 - Give yourself personal deadlines. Whether it is for the books you are reading, for the chapters that you are studying or certain new hobbies you are taking on; put a deadline for each accomplishment on your calendar. This way you will be able to fly your way through your aspiration list like a feather in the wind.

3 - Take breaks between daily tasks. If you have to finish the three chapters of a book you're studying for an exam; take a 20 minute break of something you like to do between chapters. This break could include  your daily stretching exercises, or a nice hot shower, or maybe an episode of "friends" on Netflix.

4 - Expand your knowledge capacity. Every day, give yourself the opportunity to learn something new. Make time for that; Unlike other species, we as human beings are blessed with the ability to comprehend, learn and be intelligent. Expand your knowledge by watching a certain documentary, or reading an article about something that is out of your comfort zone. 

5 - Manage your time. In the morning, make a written estimate of how much time you need in order to accomplish each task you need to do. Give yourself real time estimates and do not make yourself handle more than you could. The most important thing is not to let  stress creep in, because if it does, it will interfere with the harmony of your day's flow.

When you follow the simple tips that have been listed above; at the end of the day you will realize how much you have made out of your day. A definite guarantee is that you will certainly be proud of yourself !
