This post is for all you soon mothers to be!
So you are soon about to be a mother, congratulations! You are probably wondering what should you start buying and what you should save to buy later. Well, here is a list of the very essential things you will need as soon as your little precious one arrives to this world:
1 - Baby Onesies
Onesies are very essential. They are basically your baby's underwear, thus its very important to buy plenty of them.
2 - Baby sleep and play
Your Newborn will basically live in his/her sleep and play, so stock up on those!
3 - Sleeping sack/swaddle
Since its unsafe to cover your baby with a loose blanket, sleeping sacks are designed in way where they velcro in place and your baby stays warm and secure.
4 - Burping Cloths
Babies tend to spit up a lot after their feedings, thus burping cloths will really save you from changing your shirt 20 times a day!
1- Diaper Cream
Diaper creams are important so you can avoid and treat diaper rash.
Well, this one is obvious! Make sure you don't get too many from one brand just so you can try and see which diaper brand will suit your baby best.
3- Baby Wipes
Baby wipes are very important to keep baby clean and happy
4- Diaper Genie
A Diaper Genie is a lifesaver! Instead of going out and throwing the dirty diaper trash so many times a day, A diaper genie will have you throw the dirty diapers in it and it will retain the smell. One refill cassette can hold up to 270 diapers, which means almost 38 diapers at a time before you change the bag.
It is recommended to have your baby sleep in your room in a safe place to prevent the risk of SIDS, a bassinet is perfect for that. Many bassinets can last till your baby is about 25 pounds, that's almost the weight of a 6 month old!
2- Changing Table
Since you'll be changing your baby's diaper at least 10 times a day, a changing table is very important for you to have. It will save you so much backache and stress.
3- Baby Dresser
Having a baby dresser is important; invest in a good one that will last you years of storing baby clothes and stuff.
4 - Travel system
Having a travel system is extremely important; specially a Car seat! You will need it as soon as you exit the hospital!
